Not successful......discourag ed.

I am very disappointed with myself. I am contemplating having my band removed. I was banded in 2007, lost 57 pounds until last year, 2009, when I gained 30+ of my pounds back and cannot get them off. My adjustment is correct and I am having a lot of vomiting and tightness every time I eat anything. Does anyone have words of wisdom? I want this to work, since it took me a year and a half to get approved for the surgery. I want this weight off!!!!!!

I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble. It is not an easy process under the best of circumstances. Try talking to your surgeon or find a support group. I've found both have helped me immensely.

Also, make sure you are taking small bites and not taking another until the first one has passed. If you aren't able to keep ANYTHING down, speak with your fill provider immediately. If you can keep down liquids, make sure you are getting the proper nutrition. If several days have passed and you still can't eat solid food, contact your fill provider.

Being too tight will not help you! :) But make sure you are following the rules about small bites and slow eating before you make any changes.

Good luck to you!

Yes, daily communication is so important. Be it reading or blogging. When I write it down I lose. When I eat small I get small. Look at what you are eating are you following all the rules?

Old habits are hard to change. LB is a tool if worked with can provide joy and happiness. Good Luck on getting back on track. You just took a side trip so WELCOME ABOARD. Best wishes. imaluckydog

It doesn't sound like it is adjusted correctly if you have vomitting and tightness whenever you eat. It sounds like it is too tight. My doc said if it is too tight you won't lose weight. Maybe get that checked and a little unfill?
