Is this really working...

What's up everyone? This is my first blog enrty and well what can I say...This is hard. I had the surgery 11/30/10 and am down 21 lbs. I feel I should be further along though. I had 3 fills already...the last one was about 3 weeks ago and I can certainly feel the difference from the prior 2 adjustments which I think did nothing. I was so disapponted in myself because I am expecting results and so is my family. You know. I have an appointment with my doctor in about 2 weeks and I better have lost some weight because I have seriously curbed my eating. No, I'm not starving myself, far from it. Just making better choices. I haven't pulled into a McD's in months. No fast food for me...not even for lunch just fat free soups and lean cuisines. I'm drinking sugar free drinks, cut out the soda, beef, and rice. That was tough...I love beef...I would be perfectly happy biting off a piece a cows ass...LOL. Just kidding, or am I. Anyway. I am gonna be writing more frequently. I need some accountability, and that's gonna be you guys...Wish me luck and I am wishing you guys luck in return. :wink2:

hi... I know how you feel.

since i got the band 7 months ago i have not had a soda or bread. I can still eat rice and pasta ( in small portions) I am a latin girl and giving up rice all together is against my religion ! I do try to eat red meat once in a while for the protein. But taking care of 3 small kids it seems i am always surrounded by food and i spend half of my day in the kitchen prepapring meals/snacks. Lucky my kids are not heavy but i do limit they portions.

I have my next Dr appt in 4 weeks... hopefully witht he 4th fill i will get closer to that "sweet spot" i hear so much about.

Good luck

Perhaps the 4th fill will make the difference.

I just had my first fill and felt nothing. Hearing you mention your first fills did little worry me. I feel impatient and a little frustrated because my diet is progressing back to bad habits and I signed up for this because of the restriction. I am getting my diet back in check, but I really want the band to assist with the full feeling.

You are not in this alone, so I am glad you are reaching out. I think things are about to turn around for you. Don't give up.
