Taking Care

It has come to my realization that the more weight I gained, the more I let myself go. I stopped doing the things that helped build my self esteem and made me feel beautiful even with the weight.

This past month has been excruciating...I have about a month and a half before my surgery and the wait is driving me insane!! All I can think about is I want to begin losing now! I want to feel better about myself now! So, I took my newfound realization and decided to make a pledge to myself...

Though the weight loss will be a little behind, I can get back into my beauty routine and start feeling better now. Beginning today, I am going to ease back into taking care of the little things: having my nails painted, deep conditioning my hair and styling it every day, whitening my teeth, taking bubble baths, etc. While these things may seem petty and ridiculous, they aren't. These are simple ways for a woman to pamper herself and feel well. So these are the things I will be doing and I will look at them as preparation for my surgery, which will come in due time.
