2 days post-op

i felt a little better after getting a shower today. back, shoulders, neck and upper arms are all sore as hell. i got to take the gauze and plastic stuff off of my incisions. theres just steri-strips holding everything together now. 5 incisions. my port is located just to the left of my belly button.

ive discovered that laughing SUCKS. it really hurts to laugh or chuckle at all. hiccups hurt too.

besides that, im alright. doing a little walking here and there. last night i slept on the couch...sitting upright because getting into bed was just NOT possible.

Take it easy and it does get better! I had my surgery on Feb. 8th. I have lost 28 pounds so far. Just remember, to drink and get your protein. It sounds like you may have some gas and that is why you are sore in your back, shoulders, neck and upper arms. I had that the first few days and walking around your house will help that to move. You will feel better with each day. Congratulations on your Lap band!

Hi Mrs.bloomer. did you really loose 28 lbs since february 8th? I had my surgery on the 15th of February; I have lost about 20 lbs pre-op diet and all.

Good luck. :tongue_smilie:

3 days post op.

Feeling really good today! Day of surgery only had some discomfort from the gas in the shoulders and around my collarbone. Used the pain medication once and took liquid tylenol for the remainder of the time. Second day naseusa and vomitting set in so that wasnt pleasant. So today I'm going to try full liquids and see if I can get some protein down. I hope everyone that was banded in the last few days are moving along in their progress!

I can relate. I was banded 2 days ago. I have the shoulder/collar bone pain too. I was a little naseusa last night and I hope I don't have anymore. That kinda scared me since I couldn't really use my stomach muscles to help move anything. Keep up the good work!
