Almost 8 months.

On the 28th, I will have been banded for 8 months. I cant believe it. It has gone so very fast. I have lost about 67 pounds. I say about because every day is different but most days I am around 191. My goal is 155. I feel better than I have in years. I am wearing 14 and 16 pants. I have lost 30 inches all over my body. I still have a way to go but so much better than I was. So much healthier. SO thankful and blessed. I love my band. Not every day, not every week has been easy but I would not trade it, I would recomend it to any one. The doc says in a few weeks, he wants me to go on a low cal low fat "rotation diet" so I can get the last 35ish pounds off. When I get there, he wants to do small fills a half a cc at a time till I can eat 4-6 small meals a day be satisfied and not starved inbetween. He said that is the key to long term loss and keeping it off. He says if I am hungry I wont keep it off, it is too hard for any one long term. Hope all is well. Hope every one else feels as blessed as I do. God bless and Good luck.

I really needed to read this today...

I have been banded for almost 4 months and the weight is falling very very slowly. I have not kept to the eating rules 100% but compared to what i was doing before i am blessed and have to keep reminding myself that it took me "10 years to gain 100lbs, why expect it to come off in less that a years"...so i know i need to get better at the new eating habbits... but those old ones die hard!!

Congratulations of your journey. Wow 30 inches off, that is great. My goal is to ne in the 180's. Right know i am 245lbs so i have a way to go.

THank goodness for the site...i find it very helful and uplifting to read what other people are going though.

I was about your size when I started on the 29th of July, 09, I have lost 64 lbs and I know a lot of inches too, not sure how many, the Dr's office charts me once a month! My goal is also 155, and I have slowed down too, so I go to the gym and I am going to start walking outside two days a week, I like the treadmill, but miss being outdoors and the smells and fresh air help me too. Good luck on your journey, you are well on your way!
