Here's to Beginnings

So, I'm still new to the site, and decided today I'd do a blog post.

I was banded on 12/31/09! What a way to start the year. My beginning weight at time of surgery is 308. I have no clue as to what weight I've lost so far, but I'm sure it's in the 8-10 pound range.

I'm starting to get tired of the liquid part of the post-op diet. I have found that I'm not really hungry, but my stomach is growling like crazy. I have wondered if this is normal....

Congrats on the band, what a wonderful way to start the new year! Stomach growling like crazy it totally normal. If you're like the majority of us, in the next couple days the "not really hungry" will give way to "starving" until you get to move up to soft foods and then get your first fill (come on first fill!!!! Only seven ore days!). I'm so happy for you and can't wait to follow your journey!

Hello All, especially Kay,

I am Ken Gibson and you and I are starting the new year right. I had my surgery on 1-4-10. It's been three days and I am at home resting, and tomorrow I will try to exercise some with my stationary bike. I am at 270 now, but since the surgery I have dropped about 6 pounds. I have noticed my symptions are the same as yours. I liked your entry cause it's the same as for me. Any assistance from all the pro's who have been past this stage would be helpful. Wish you a Great Year.
