Post-op day 1

I had my surgery at about 11:30 yesterday. I had an excellent experience at the hospital, the Drs and Nurses were all super nice and answered my questions.

I have to admit, least evening was kind of rough. I was really sore and super sleepy. I could barely keep my eyes open! I'm sure it was related to all the medications from the surgery. I alternated the pain medicine the Dr gave me and Tylenol, which helped. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting at all. Yay! The clear liquids are going good; I don’t have much of an appetite for anything else.

Now today, the pains I was having in my upper abdomen have almost completely subsided. Just sore at my incision sites and kind of dizzy but it’s not bad at all, nothing like yesterday.

I often find myself daydreaming about what I will look like when I get to my goal (I’m thinking around 170) And to think that I’m actually on my way there blows my mind! I’ve wanted this for so long.

It is bewildering to think the day will come when I won't be the biggest girl in the room. Congrats on your surgery. Glad it went so smooth.
