Nov 17th- here i come!

:biggrin::thumbup::thumbup:

We got the green light! Surgery is tomorrow at 9am. I thought we would have to pospone it since I was not losing weight-because I was no 100% on a liquid diet. I did lose 2 pounds last week:) I am ready to do this. Can anyone share with me what I will need in the next few weeks. I know I have to be on a liquid diet, but what do folks drink? Water, shakes etc! Thanks for all the support and feedback!

Good luck. You will be so glad you did this. I am almost 6 months post op and wouldnt change it for nothing. I feel so blessed every day for a new chance at life. Yes there are days that you think "what the heck did I do?" BUt honestly over all it is awesome. God bless and good luck.

YAY!!! You did it...2 pounds is a great first step and off to the band you go. I'm surprised your doc/NUT didn't give you a list of things you can have. Do you know if you're allowed only clear liquids or 'full' liquids (anything you could drink through a straw)? I was allowed only clears and some skim milk, so that meant: broths, SF popsicles (they come in tropical flavors now), I added K2O protein powder to water and Crystal Light, and I liked the peppermint decaf tea that some recommend to help the gas, and I put SF chocolate in the skim milk since I'm not a milk drinker. You won't be hungry the first few days/week, but keep pushing those fluids. Good luck tomorrow! -BG

Patience, you are going to need patience. Support you can get here and at home but most of all patience. Its not a quick fix. If you feel down or like you shouldnt have done this,,PLEASE dont let it consume you, its temporary, those feelings, if you have them, will go away. Hang in there!

Take care and congrats!
