Surgery Date is set for December 7th, 2009

It has taken 11months to get approved by my insurance company. I have waited and waited it seems like forever. The last time I was told I had been diened I just cried. On November 2nd I lost my aunt Joanne to a complication of surgery she was a very sick lady but she never complained about anything. The very next day I got the phone call that I had been approve for my LAP-BAND® surgery and I just cried. I just want to be in better health for my family and friends but most of all for me. I will need everyone's help. I will try to write something each day. I start my liquid diet on Monday. :confused:

I will be devastated if I dont get approved. Cant afford it out of pocket. What did you do the second time around to get approved that you didnt do the first time?

HI everyone! I got the call a few days ago with a date for december 7th but am trying to re-schedule it for the 14th or 16th...my husband will be out of town and I will be finished with a project by then.

Am waiting for the call back with the firm date in that week of mid December 2009. This is too cool! I will go out tomorrow to try to buy my pre-op diet stuff.

It took me four months from the time I made the decision to go with the band, to get in for ym first appt right around Labor Day, and then now, at the end of November to get a surgery date.

Hi the second time I had a sleep study done because my husband had told me that I had quite breathing at night. I already had high blood pressure but that wasn't enough for them. Good luck
