You have already made a great start by coming on here! The best thing to do is make a list of questions that you want answers to, and then post them on here - every doctor has their own way of doing things, but all in all, we are all in the same boat!

Also, check with your insurance company to see what your coverage allows - be proactive in this, and be well informed.

I wish you well!

I agree that you have made the right choice. There is lots to learn and this is a great website for informaiton and encouragement and support. I was just banded on 10/14. I would be happy to answer any questions that i can. There are so many others on here too that have been banded for a while and they are extremely helpful!! good luck in your journey- keep us posted. message me any time. Leslie

First, contact your ins. co. for a copy of your bariatric policy so you know what they require. Second, set up some seminars to attend (I went to the 3 best hospitals in my area before deciding, and I learned new things from each seminar). Third, while you're waiting for those seminars start doing a lot of research here...read all the Stickies (top threads of many sections on the home page) and develop a list of questions you still have. Have fun and get started! -BG
