Well I did it! Surgery was Tuesday! Went in to hospital at 6amand was discharged yesteday around 2pm. Last thing I remember was them putting the "happy juice" in and I was gone. A woke in recovery with really no pain at all. Just like a minor irriration where the incisisions were. Worst thing so far is the pain (like a runner's cramp) under my left rip and my left shoulder. Also a little diarhea. Burping is quite painful. Like someone stabbing me in the shoulder blade. Hope that goes away soon! Feeling some hunger but I think it's head hunger. Fell asleep when I got home after some juice and am just now waking up. Kind of wierd now that I am home...like it was a dream. Going to try and go back to bed. :tongue_smilie:

And so it goes.......

CONGRATULATIONS! Sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk! Try a heating pad for the 'referred' gas pain (left shoulder). Some say the Gas X strips help...might be a placebo, but I tried them. Get in as much liquid as you can and rest up! Best wishes! -BG

Best wishes you will feel better soon. :-) Yes do keep up with the walking that helps so much. Liquids are key at all the stages. I have not have a soda since the night before I was Banded June 29th. That was a little over two months ago. I do not even think about it anymore. I love my water. imaluckydog

Hi looks like we had our surgery around the same day, good luck to you. I think I will need to get a lot of support from here in order to continue, only if these next few days on shakes pass by sooner!
