Post opp....hmmmm

Soooo I had my post op appt yesterday, and I have only lost 17 lbs!! WHAT!! I know others who had surgery same day as me and they have lost over 20lbs. I am al ittle frustrated, and kinda sad, I know I have not been following the T but honestly have been doing really good...I have not eaten a full meal yet and when I am hungry I eat things like string cheese and yougart, oatmeal and cream of wheat,,,I am still doing the soup, but honestly I am starting to hate soup I have been careful about the amounts. I am healed enogh now that I can start working out not just walking so that is what I am going to focus on now is creating a great work out plan for myself. I do get me fist fill on the 29 so I am super excited about that hopefully it will give me the restriction that I need! This lapband stuff is alot harder than I thought it would be,but I think I am getting a handle on it!

NO doubt to the harder than I thought it would be!! I go for my second fill tomorrow, I'm hoping for some restriction. The first didn't seem to do much.

Good luck!

I'm not losing as fast as I wanted either! But lets put it this way. Those 17 lbs lost will never be gained! AND really, who cares except you at how fast you are losing. You are still losing! You CAN do this!!!!

Remember LapBand is a tool NOT a magic wand. I have to remind myself of this as well. Follow the rules and you will lose weight, it is that simple. Making the proper choices is the challenge we all face and the challenge we faced before WLS but before WLS we made poor food choices which lead us down the weight gain path. Everyone loses at a different pace and please be careful not to compare your success with others. Just be mindful that every bite counts. I wish you much success and be kind to yourself.
