Help, maybe a problem

Hi, I had lapbank on Jan 21, 2009 and have only lost 30 pounds. My questions to throw out there for help is, I never feel like I have any restrictions with my band. Last week, I went back to the Dr. was filled to 10 cc, (band holds 14) and still feel like I could eat (lots) of anything. I've expressed concern to my Dr. but he has done anything yet. I need the help of the band control and I don't feel like I'm getting it. Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do. Thanks!

I'm hoping that your Dr. has checked for a leak by now if you have never felt any restriction (take out all the saline and make sure the amount is correct that you should be up to). Sometimes it takes people to get very close to the max level before they get good restriction. The other thing I'd be sharing with my doc is exactly how much you can eat at a time of solids...if it's a lot, he might want to check for slippage (part of your stomach slips up through the band making the pouch larger). Best wishes and WELCOME to LBT!- BG
