Hello fellow Lapband bloggers!

I'm courtney, and im 16! Me and my mother are going to be banded. I dont know when becuase we just started the process. We have our consultation on July 1st. I have never been thin, ive always been overweight, when i was 11, 12 i thought 'oh this is just baby weight it will come off. Ha, i was wrong it stayed with me. Ive tried numerous diet plans, yeah i lost but gained it all back plus some, i'm just depressed! Thank god i thought of the lapband procedure! I am just so happy that me and my mother can expirience this life changing thing together, and start our journey of healthy eating and weight loss! I just want to thank god, without him im a total reck! :thumbup:

That is great to get your health back on track while you are young. Being healthy will influence the oppertunities available to you all of youe life! I am glad to see you here. I too have the lapband, feel free to ask me any questions you would like.

Wow, me and my Mom are also being banded together! (hopefully) SHe has a surgery date of august 3rd and I also have a appointment on July 1st!!! Yay for us!!!! It would be nice to chat back and forth on our journeys!!!! Best wished to you and you Mom!

my mom and i are also getting the lapband together. i've been overweight my whole life =(...when i was 16 i wasnt old enough to get it done at the place im getting it done at. I started going to the meetings last june 08 and my first official appointment was in september 08. next month(july) will be the 10th month into this journey and hopefully i'll get a surgery date. I only lost 12 to 15 pounds (i needed to lose 11, i think, in order to get sent in for approval, and it was just required to lose that much to make surgery easier. well i wish you guys the best of luck =D!
