SaraEmily LAP-BAND Patients June 18, 200917 yr Author stats PCOS is the main reason I have had the lap band surgery in the first place. after a failed fertility treatment I along with my husband and endocrinologist decided losing weight to get my pcos under control was the smartest thing to do. After alot of research the lap band just seemed the best choice. I have lost 80 pounds since the secoond week in January 09 so in a little over 4 months. I weigh 268 now and am 5 ft 10. I have noticed a completely regular period since getting the band and my blood pressure has gone from 159/90 to 122/78. The band was the best thing I have ever done in my entire life I'm going to try and get pregnant in March of next year it will be just after a year for me then and I will go off the pill. Hopefully I will get my weight down to about 200 by then. Good luck to you!! Any other questions just ask.
chantilly LAP-BAND Patients June 22, 200917 yr Author stats THANK YOU so much, im kinda nervous about the surgery, but im sure everything will be ok. As long as I get cycles back in order, quit gaining, and get my blood pressure down(162/100). Thats my main goal for now.
