Wiggly?...no dear, that was the meds you were on, remember...the whole room was wiggly.

LOL, just kidding...I have no idea. I was afraid to look the first few seconds and by the time I looked down he was pulling the needle out, but I do remember it being a very thin needle and long.

BG, Interesting experience you had. I had to go in to the radiology dept. et

Oops, I didn't mean to post that last sentence.

What I was going to say was, I had to go to the radiology dept. for my first fill. Did they do yours on X-ray? They actually fill the band and watch it on x-ray and they had me drink some barium to see if everything is functioning correctly. Then he withdrew most of the saline out leaving 4cc. The next fill I will have done in the doctor's office without xrays. Like I said to you I hope you feel more restriction, because I don't. I didn't even need to say on a 2 days of full liquids afterwards. I did one day and introduced food on the second. I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't any discomfort as well.

BG, you should have a "graphic content" warning before that big fat picture of the needle and syringe!! It gave me the willies. Seriously, shivers up my spine and arm hair on end!! LOL!! I'm not afraid of needles, just don't ask me to look at it, especially while it's in use!! Hide that puppy till it's stuck, out and gone, I say!!

Yay for your first fill!!! Patience, patience. (Remind me I said that later after I'm banded and I'm whining about no restriction...)

Ooops, sorry! I see I made your hair stick out (avatar)...sorry I gave you a bad hair day.

Note to self add 'graphic content' to the list of warnings (with 'spew alert'). My blog is going to have a restricted audience soon...at least PG-13 LOL!

Yes, I love that crazy looking cat. Its facial expression is a great representation of my state of mind sometimes. It makes me laugh. I suppose I should find a picture I can stand to look at one of these days and exchange it for the crazy cat!! Just kidding about the warning.... I was surprised I got that shiver!!

Hope you get the delayed restriction. But if not, you are still one fill closer to that sweet spot! You go girl!

Hey B_G, Hurray on your first fill!! Sounds like yours went really well!! Mine was really easy, too!! Although, I didn't have to do any acrobatic stunts, I just had to tighten my stomach muscles. He probably knew if he put me in that position, I wouldn't be able to walk out of that office!! I still have no restriction but I am able to eat only small amounts. I go back on July 2, for another fill so MAYBE then I will get some restriction!!

DB-I'll be able to make the Olympic Gymnastics team after a few more fills.

Tiny bit of restriction now. Thanks gals!

You are a great writter!

Love the stories & humor!

My first fill was 5/12/09 & I don't have any restriction. When my coworkers tell me I look good and ask how much weight I have lost (25lbs). For some reason I feel the need to explain that this weight loss is from the surgery diet restrictions and when I get restriction should really start to loose weight whe I get restriction. 25 pounds is huge for me but I haven't lost any more & I'm thankful. I have had a few CrAzY cravings, one night I sent my husband to get me peanut m&m's @ 10:30 at night. I don't want that to happen any more! I talked to my Dr's office & they said it may be because I'm not getting enough protein. The very next day made sure I went to CosotCo to buy the premier protein shakes & bars my Dr's support group recommended. They really help, the last couple of day's I haven't had and cravings. Beware fo CRAVINGS...
