I decided to have the sleeve because I was at my wit's end and I needed a change in my lifestyle. I did tons of research (no pun intended) and I am an ICU RN, so I have an astute understanding of the medical part of the equation. I found bariatric pal through my research and joined a few years ago. I was just an observer because I was too ashamed and too embarrassed to interact with anyone.
