Hello, I don't know who is going to read this, but this is my story.
My Name is Kristin I am 29 years old and I am overweight. I have been for most of my life, can't remember when I was the skinny little blonde haired girl I used to be. Anyway my starting weight, well when I started my WLS experiance was 435, this is the heavest I have ever been. I have tried traditonal diets and working out like a fiend and the most I've ever lost has been about 50 lbs. I always seem to fall back into the old routines after great success and gain the weight and then some back.  :( I offically started my WLS journey on June of 2014 after talking with my gynocologist about pursuing WSL, because my weight was messing up my peroids badly that I was missing months at a time. That conversation was the 2nd time i was asked if I wanted to do WLS, I was asked when I was 18 but at that time I declined because I was scared and figured that I could do it on my own, I wasn't ready for surgey yet. Now since I'm 29 and still haven't been able to loose weight and KEEP it off surgery is the best option for me. Mostly because my weight is affecting my health and body, and being only 29 I'd really LOVE to be healthy and not have to worry about my weight anymore. As of this month October 2014 I am in the process of waiting to hear from the Insurance company about my approval for surgery, but so far as the days pass I am getting more excited and maybe a bit more nervous. I am glad that I have wonderful family and friends who support me in my decission, though there are still some who disagree with my choice, but thats just it its MY choice to be healthy and move foward. Any way I found this site through Facebook my mom actually pointed it out to me and after scanning through some of the Forums I realized this was a wonderful site to see and get advice from people who have had or are going to have WLS.
