Hello everyone, I recently found this support group and decided to give it a try. I am in my first month of the program. My first appt. with my dr. was last month and today is my second appt. In my initial meeting it was decided by doc and I the best weight loss surgery was the gastric sleeve. I did my research via internet before making any appt. or going to any meetings. I made my mind up that the yo-yo dieting was over. My starting weight was 316.12 lbs. (May2014) Walking was painful, sitting, standing, sleeping. I was too big for my body. The breaking point was when I was unable to bend down to tie my shoes.
Since my initial appt., I have started with floor exercises; basic stretching, hip movements with lower back stretches (which were very tight). I just added pool exercises and found that very very helpful. I was weighed in at 297 lbs. which is a 19 lb. loss. I am so excited. I know I can lose the weight, keeping it off is my demon.
Im glad I found this site and hope to share my story with anyone who will read it. Thank you
