Marijuana and Life after Bariatric Surgery
Very interesting topic! I have been fighting chronic pain for over 15 years and take a large amount of narcotics. I am very open to trying medicinal marijuana, but my state does not yet have the legislation in place for legal consumption. I am one of those people who won't even try marijuana if it isn't legal because somehow I would get caught or screw something up. I have researched the medical marijuana and I am hoping it will become a treatment option I can try. The narcotic medications I have used in the past and the ones I currently use have a wide array of side effects and have a sever negative impact on my quality of life and don't take the majority of my pain away. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and opinions. I know it is a controversial subject, but to each his own. I love hearing everyone's experiences and perspectives.

Frozen Foods Month – The WLS Way!
Great article! I love the concept of choosing the best choice available at the time you need it! Another option is when you are preparing a meal make a few extra portions and freezing them for a rainy day. If you do this every few meals, you steadily build up a collection of ready to go meals. I keep a basket from the dollar store in my freezer and use that for all of my small plastic containers of frozen leftovers. Medical tape works really well to label my containers and it doesn't leave a sticky residue. Just another option for a quick and easy meal on the run.

Your Thanksgiving Dinner Game Plan
I am hosting dinner at my house and I am still on full liquids only. I also cook everything from scratch because my son has multiple life threatening food allergies. For everyone but me I am making: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, rolls, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. For myself I am making a low fat high protein butternut squash soup. Everyone gets some great home cooked comfort food and I stick to my food requirements. My hubby doesn't mind being my taster this year. I plan on freezing left over white meat in 3 oz portions with just enough gravy to keep it moist for when I get to move on with my food intake.

5 month stall
Hang in there Ry! Keep following your program, tracking your food, and exercising. You will get to where you need to be in time. Your body has been through so much and occasionally has to take some time to reset itself and get used to the newest stage of normal . You can and will do this. You are too strong to fail and worked too hard to get where you are. Love you and keep up the good work!

gastric bypass help spinal stenosis?
I am sincerely hoping it will help. I have severe lumbar stenosis and degenerative disc disease requiring extensive pain management. I am only 36, but move slower than an 80 year old. My docs have all said significant weight loss has a good chance of helping reduce the amount of pain I have but probably won't take it away. Heck, I will take any pain reduction I can get! I hope it helps you too!

Before and After Pics
You look amazing! I will have to stock up on the Jergins and hope it helps me some. I have had 2 kids and was huge with each pregnancy so it is more of a pipe dream, but a girl can dream. Pilates is supposed to be amazing for strengthening the core and is on my list to try. Thank you so much for being open and honest. You give me hope I may be able to avoid a TT.

Before and After Pics
You look great! I have to ask if your stomach returned to that shape alone? I am worried about all of the extra skin I will have to contend with. I hope my skin will return to a tolerable level of jiggle.
