FYI for those of you drinking Slim Fast shakes in USA and Canada. There is a bacteria found in cans of Slim Fast, all varities, prompting a recall.

I just saw this on the news and I had been drinking them. I bought a 6 pack a few weeks ago and still have 2 left. I'm throwing them away immediately!

I just threw mine out. I noticed when I opened a can of vanilla the other day that it was "chunky" almost like it was curdled. YUCK!! This bums me out as I put vanilla slim fast in my coffee in the morning. It was a source of a little extra protein, vitamins, etc. You get it in however possible right? Now I'm back to putting borden high protein milk in my coffee. I emailed the company regarding this a couple days ago, and they never responded. Real responsible aren't they???? I'm no longer a fan.....

i hate that because i really did like the slim fast i dont know what other shake to try, please help!

Well, since the recall was two weeks ago, I'm hoping we'll see new product on the shelves in the RTD form. SlimFast makes a powder....has anybody used it? If so how does it taste?

I bought some carnation instant Breakfast and that stuff is irretrievably gross. I can't even choke it down.

Walmart has a decent RTD fairly low cal protein drink...EAS Advantage. It has less calories and fat than Adkins RTD and is very good. It is $4.98 for 4 boxes.

I also like the pre made EAS shakes..they come in 3 different formulas with different protein grams. I like the 17 g chocolate. I buy it by the case at BJ's for $26 for 28 shakes.
