Try to get plenty of rest the night before! And stay hydrated the day before your surgery, drinks lots and lots of water! When I had surgery I was dehydrated and they had a hard time getting an IV started. Lastly, just enjoy the ride! It's the best thing I've ever done for myself, and I'm sure it will be for you too! Good luck!!

I say this to everyone... Get Gas-X-Strips and have them handy. If you get trapped gas, take like 3 or 4 of them, and walk A LOT! That part of my recovery was painful.

Good job on not breaking into the bakery! I heard they start work early so if your going to hit them, do it at night!

I'm waiting for a date yet but chapstick is a must for any surgery and ear plugs if you can stand them - hospitals are VERY noisy!

I can't sleep in a hotel much less a hospital.

Glad to hear about the pre-op diet going well. Right now that's all I'm worried about.

Good luck!

Be sure to wear a comfortable bra to go home in. Make sure it doesn't have any underwires and is soft. If you have one slightly bigger around that would be best. Besides the fact that you will have an incision just below the bra line, you will also be full of gas and will be very swollen.
