growling tummy

I have read that a growling tummy does not mean your hungry only that you are digesting food. But, I have also heard that a growling tummy does mean your hungry.. anyone know for sure what it really means??

    For me a growling tummy means I'm hungry..Damn hungry!

    I usually eat when I hear that growl..but I have to remember to eat slow or I will be a raveged beast and shovel the food and then I get stuck..then the pain, then I'm done!

    pre band I would never wait til my tummy growled, it is a nice change and a nice sound..
