I'm wondering the same thing. I have my second nutritoin appointment on Monday and the scale has gone up and down the last 3 weeks. They gave me a 1,000-1,200 calorie a day diet to follow similar to weight watchers and my results have been only 4 pounds. I've added 35 minutes of activity 5 days a week. I'm so afraid they are going to make me wait. Does anyone have any input?

Hey I am NC also, where is sea level at? I had to see the nutri. twice, because when I went to see her the first time she put in her notes that she did not think I would change my eating habits, therefore, I had to see her a second time which I was billed for to tell her that I am going follow the advice that she recommend. After the second appointment, I went to the GNC store and got a Protein shake (Lean Body) and began taking that and watching what I ate. I actually lost about 10 lbs. pre-op. Don't give up...

My surgeron is well known as being the soup nazi of medicine. No surgery for you! I did ok but it does happen. Ideally you want your BMI under 50 for surgery because it lessens the chance of complications dramatically so that can be one reason a surgery gets postponed.

Best wishes to you JTSOBX. I'm hoping it all works out well for you. Have courage.
