video of the surgery

today I began my 2 week pre-op diet. While on the internet, trying to keep my mind off of FOOD, I came across an informative video of an actual lap band procedure.

let me tell you, that's enough to make me want to reduce my lilver size before surgery!!!! One day down.......

Yeah, I found it very informative as well. It really does help with convincing yourself that the pre-op diet is VERY important. It's not for people who get queasy easily, but if you are interested, you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5ICI9q7nxU

Wow! I don't really have a weak stomach, but I found myself kind of grossed out while I watched. Needless to say, I will do EVERYTHING they tell me to do pre-op LOL!

Timmers_thanks for posting that link.

And, yes, it pretty much shows it like it is. I just know every time I wanna reach for something NOT on this liver shrinking diet I get an image of that video & it reminds me I need to hang in there . :scared2:

That was great! After watching, I feel like I can picture what's going to happen much more clearly than with all the animations. Very, very interesting!!
