Newbie stuff

Good Morning All!!!

I'm very excited and honored to be part of your Bandster league some day soon! I have an appointment with a surgeon in 6 days. Yes, I'm counting down days, I just can't wait!! :w00t:

I've done TONS of research and my mom is a RNY veteran so I have been around WLS for quite awhile. I am choosing the Lap Band because I have I am afraid of the malnutrition problems associated with other types of WLS and, more importantly, I want some control over my behavior! I need to learn my body's signals and listen to them. I eat...A LOT! Not just when I'm hungry but when I'm bored and when something just tastes so good that I just can't stop. I'm hoping with this tool, I can learn to have more disipline!

My question is - What are the questions you didn't ask your surgeon before surgery that you wish you had?

Hi Chele, Welcome in. I like you did a lot of research and attended many seminars before being banded so I really didn't have that issue with the exception of one which was the discussion of fills. I wish that had been covered more thoroughly.
