Swimming after surgery?

Hi! I am being banded next Thursday (8/13). My husband and I spend alot of time on our boat at the lake during the summers. Do you know how long I will have to wait after to surgery to get into the Water?

Thanks!

Just have to wait for your incisions to heal. I think I waited about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the quick responses. I will have to ask my surgeon next week. Hopefully I will be able to get in a couple to boat trips after surgery but before the weather starts to turn.

I just asked my doctor this on Monday. He said four-five weeks but he said if everything looks good when I see him next, he will cut off a week or two. It depends on how well you are healed I guess.
