Has anyone had the lapband twice?

I had the lapband done 2 years ago and lost an amazing 90lbs but had to have it removed because of pain and other problems, I know i didnt treat my band right and I even then it was so good to me. Has anyone had the band done wice and what were your reasons? I have gained 45 lbs back and as much as i keep trying i just keep gaining. I have also considered the gastric sleeve but dont know much about it.

There is a section here that is all about the sleeve. Some of the people have been banded but had complications. The are a good source of info.

Theres several people on here that have had the band done twice. I can only think of one off the top of my head - Corliss - she recently went to mexico for a tummy tuck and to get her face done and also had another band put in. If you wanna talk to her she's usally in the chat room at nights

True revision surgeons are refusing to reband or reposition a band. The problem is (came out of a FL convention about 3 months ago) that when you replace a band or surgically reposition a band you stand about a 70% chance of a slip in the near future after the 2nd surgery.

I have had a band and I have a sleeve. If you have any questions I'm happy to answer.

I had my first band six years ago. I've struggled with the emotional eating and even thought I had at one point lost 130 lbs, I gained 50 of that back. In July, I discovered that my band had slipped again. I had my lap band replaced again last Monday.

I believe that lap band that is a tool that can help me lose the weight again. I am in therapy and a recovery group to more effectively deal with my food addiction/compulsive overeating.
