Well my surgeon's office submitted my information today for approval. I am soooo nervous!!! :smile: I have Carefirst BlueChoice (MD) and was told that my plan does not require the 6 month supervised weight loss only the letter of medical necessity. I had my initial consult on 4/17, physical and PCP wrote the letter on 4/28, Nutrition and Psych eval 5/18 and submitting everything today 6/1.

My surgeon's office actually schedules a tentative date for surgery prior to approval. Based on experience they believe the insurance company responds faster with a date. So if all goes well my surgery date will be July 2nd. I am so ready.

I'm actually all done with everything too and am now just waiting for the office to submit everthing for pre-approval! I'm hoping everything goes quickly. This has been a long process and I'm anxios to have the surgery done with! Good luck.

There was a delay in submitting my information. The surgeon's office did not have my referral. The referral was eventually sent today so they will submit to the insurance company tomorrow. I am really getting nervous now. :redface: Please don't let this be a sign.
