Post-op and monthly friend...

I'm getting banded on Monday, and there is a good chance I'll be getting a visit from a certain aunt soon. I'm already seriously overdue, but because of my thyroid, my cycles are crazy. So, she can come any day. I'm just wondering if anyone had this visit either during or right after surgery, and if you had any issues with bending over while sitting.

My aunt visited me 4 days post op...fun fun! As far as bending over, I still can't. GL with your band!!

I got mine 2 days post op and it was the worst period in my life. I hadn't been cramping in over 5 years, then all of the sudden heavy cramping and bleeding with my period post op. Thank goodness this only happened with my first period post op and hasn't happened since.

I think today is your surgery - hope it goes well. I had my period during my surgery and it was no big deal. I told the nurse and she gave me an industrial size pad (no tampons while under anasthesia) and the whole thing went fine.

Thanks, of course mine came 2 days before surgery, but luckily they now make ultra tampons, and I was able to keep it during surgery. So far no issues at all, and I think this has been my lightest cycle in a years! Thank goodness!!!
