I have allergies and Iam currently taking zrytec along with an OTC allergy pills. Last week I tried tylenol allergy cool burst. I swallowed one and it ended up coming back up. Seem like the cool burst irritated my throat and taste buds. I am trying to see if there is a smaller OTC allgery pill out there that works well with the band that last all day, so Im not popping pills every 4 hours cause my eyes are itching from the pollen. Im just trying to avoid going to my primary doctor.

Allergies suck. I went through 15 years of immunotherapy but I do not use any allergy medicine or asthma medicine and haven't for a very long time. Obviously, it's been a long time since I used any allergy medicine, much less an OTC variety. BUT, I believe I've seend ads for Claritin in either a fast dissolve strip or tablet.

Why are you not taking zyrtec? It is available OTC...

and when you say you take it "along with OTC pills" you don't mean all at the same time, do you? You can cause a rebound effect if you do that.

Anyway there are lots of smallish (like claritin) Otc pills out there.

wow, I was told by my doctor that all pills had to be crushed. I have read otherwise on this site. Was it a certain amount of time after being banded before you started swallowing pills?

I have ALWAYS taken pills. In fact, the prescription my surgeon sent home with me post op was for a pill!

(Darvocet). I take HUGE potassium pills with no problems. You know, even if you are very tight most pills dissolve. You maybe should re-confirm with your surgeon if you feel every single pill must be crushed. I always say to do what your doc says but aside from the fact that some pills should NOT ever be crushed...many really never have an issue with tablets, capsules, etc.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
