I haven't been here is so long but I hope everything is working out for you JayTee! I use to be on weight watchers many years ago. I still have my band and I've been thinking about going back on weight watchers just to hopefully pull off those last few pounds I need to get rid of. I don't want my band any tighter than it is. Best wishes to you.

Jaytee, sorry to hear about all of the trouble you have been having and glad to hear that you are feeling better these last few days. I haven't really had to many of the problems that you have but I do have days when certain foods just won't work for me and then sometimes on a different day I can eat it just fine. It seems to me like if I drink plenty of water throughout the day then I don't have so much trouble eating food and keeping it down. Good luck to you and I hope you have a wonderful vacation. Regards, Bee from Calie,

    April '09 Bunnies...2 Year Bandiversary!

Hello to all of my bunny buddies. So for me this past Jan I finally got another fill that I believe has put me at the sweet spot. The funny thing is that I had a fill last summer I think it was and I was to tight so the doc took it back out. Then he left the hospital and opened his own practice and was no longer a PPO provider for me. So I went back and fourth with the idea of did I want to pay out of pocket or not. In the meantime I felt ok because I was not gaining any weight, but not losing either. So finally I decided at the beginning of the year I would go back and get a fill and so I did. Got the same amount put back in that was taken out. At first I thought I was to tight again but decided to try to push through it and eat almost nothing. Perhaps I may have been a little swollen. anyway I did not get an unfill and I am very happy with my restriction right now. I'd like to lose about 15 to 20 pounds more and then I'll be happy. I do still through up sometimes, I think I still think I can eat more than my pouch can actually hold. I guess I'll learn one of these days. I did buy a bathing suit late last summer and can't wait until it gets hot enough to wear it. But who knows it might be to big by then. My only problem right now is that I need to make myself exercise. Well take care of yourselves guys and good luck to us all that we can maintain our success.
  5. dits4golf is right I would have the doc take out the fluid and show you exactly what's in there. Or he needs to do a fluro with barium so he can see.

    Lost Port! HELP!

sorry to hear that your doc could not find your port. He should definitely be able to see it under fluro. My first fill was under fluro and it was a piece of cake. The only problem I have ever experienced with a fill was when my doc was trying to teach a new doc how to do the fill. Let's just say I'm very happy I picked the right doctor in the first place. I've had fills with and without fluro and have not had difficulty. Fluro just cost me more money.

    Papaya Enzyme = Drano

I bought mine at the health food store. Did not work like drano but they really made me (my stomach) feel better. I was feeling like everything I ate was getting stuck. I got a bottle of 120 for like 8 bucks.

Finally got another fill mid Jan. I have really good restriction now and am losing weight I believe at the rate that I should be. It was kind of hard at first my mind was saying eat eat eat but my pouch did not agree. Hope all of you other bunnies out there are all doing well. We are heading towards 2 years now can you believe it?

Hi Bunnies, It's been a while since I've been on here. Not sure I have my head in the game like I should. I'm nowhere near my goal. I'm a little disappointed in myself as I seem to have no commitment to making this work, The only good thing is I'm not gaining any weight. My doctor left the hospital and started his own business so now he's not a PPO preferred doctor which means a visit will cost me more money and my deductible for out of network doctors is higher. So I need to figure out do I suck it up and pay the extra money or do I find a new doctor who is in the network? What I really need to do is stop making excuses and start working out on a regular basis. I'm sure that would make a big difference. Thanks for letting me vent. How are all the other bunnies out there doing?

My last fill must have put me over the top. I have been so miserable for 3 weeks now. Seems like everything gets stuck. Even sometimes when I try to east soft foods like refried beans with taco meat It feels like it stuck or I throw up. I like that I can't eat much but the funny thing is that I still haven't lost that much weight considering the amount of food I eat. I guess my son is right he's always telling me to excerise. Going to the doctor Tues for a slight unfill. Hopefully he does not take out to much. I really don't want to get some taken out and then end up paying for another fill.

    Happy Bandiversary Bunnies!

BG, This is really cute, wow one year gone already,* Well congratulations to everyone on their success.
  13. are you getting plenty to drink and are you drinking all of your protien? If so and you are still really hungry you should call your doctor and see what he say's he may let you go to the next stage sooner that scheduled. But you should not risk hurting yourself or messing something up.

The advice our fellow bandsters are giving us here is very useful. Sometimes I to feel like I should be doing or should have done better by now, but as one doctor said to me, If you didn't have the band would you have lost that weight and kept if off? Also you hear quite often that muscles weigh more than fat so just because the scale doesn't say what you want it to say doesn't mean you aren't losing weight. You've done a great job so far, keep up the good work and stay positive.

JT good idea, i think i need to do the same thing myself since i went to the doctor on Tues and had gained 2 pounds. No need to beat myself up about it though I'll just have to get back to working out more. The good thing I did get a little more fill and hopefully getting to the sweet spot.
  17. i wont take it right now. This is my first time taking the seasonal flu shot and the only reason I took it is just incase I my immune system is down with weight lost. Normally I don't get the flu (knock on wood)

    Hi from Ohio

I have UHC mines is a PPO. I live in Calif though I had my surgery in April 09. My surgery was covered and I was not required to have a 6 months supervised weight program. Hopefully your plan will cover your surgery. Good luck to you.

There is no turning back now.

    good luck on Tues.

    Recently Banded

The weight lost right now is not as important as healing. Gas is different for everyone. I only had a few days of gas pain and it really wasn't that bad for me but I have a high tolerance for pain. Try gas-x strips they may help relieve some of the pain and for sure walk walk and walk some more. There are a lot of things that you are gonna thru right now that might make you second guess your decision but in the long run it should all be worth it. Take care of yourself and good luck to you.
  21. congratulations and keep up the good work,

BG I should pack up some of this California sun and send it your way, we had 2 days of rain and now it's so hot, but the good news is we did get some snow in the mountains when it rained

looking for a pick me up

I don't really feel like I have lost as much as others have either and then I've lost more than some may have. My doctor says that I am doing fine and I also know that there are still many things that I could do differently that might speed up the weight lost but I'm ok with the slow and steady. I see a big difference in my clothes and also my energy level. I'm not at my sweet spot yet. Hopefully I will get there soon. I look at it like this, If I had not gotten the band then I would not have lost the weight I have lost and if I did lose it I'm sure I would be gaining it back by now. Just remember the rules and keep doing what you are suppose to be doing I'm sure you will be successful.
