Awaiting Monday

Finally get to have my intial consult this coming Monday 4-27 and am more than ready! I am anxious, curious & excited. Just hoping I don't have to wait some 6 months more to have the actual surgery done. Wish me luck!

Good luck! Let me me tell you something, I was hoping the same thing and it take 6 months to get the actually surgery. But those 6 months will pass you by weather your waiting for the surgery or not. So just remember that. Even during the times that you want to just say "f it, I don't need this". Remember that, because the 6 months will pass, surgery will come and go. I just realized that it's been 6 months SINCE my surgery and I am so grateful I got through the 6 months and the pre and post op diets. It was all a challenge but SO worth it. It's been one year since I began this journey, 6 months since surgery and I've lost 64 pounds that I know I would not have lost without it. Whew, mouthful, sorry. Stick with it and good luck, Jason!

Best wishes! My one-on-one meeting is on Tuesday. It's freaking me out a little that within a month I will have 3 of the 6 steps required by the surgeon completed. I think I'll be okay if it's a few more months before the actual surgery depending on what insurance says. I want to get at least 10 lbs off before the surgery (I'm hoping for 20) and I want to make sure I'm ready in my head and heart to do this.
