hello everyone, i have been to the site a few times, and i am not real good about posting.. I am working on that.lol

anyway i got my band on April 9th, things seem to have gone well. recovery is taking a little while for me i think. i had to return back to work on the 14th and that was hard. the bending and lifting was the worst. but that is getting better.

i went back to my doctor on the 16th and to my extreme surprise i had already lost 13 pounds. i think that was the happiest day of my life, after having my kids of course.

losing that much in that amount of time has made everything worth it, the year of trying to get the surgery done, the struggles of missed work, the pain of the surgery. all of it, so worth it.

I agree it really is just know to take one day at a time.. Things will seem to go great in the beg. because you cant eat much of anything, but when you start to eat real food the weight loss may slow up a little but dont get sad just keep pushing.. and one thing i will tell you if you want to see quick and regular weight loss start doing some form of excercise at least 5days a week and you will be unstoppable... Congratulations and keep up the great work

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
