Can't exersize, will they postpone my surgery?

Last week I sprained my ankle REALLY BAD. I've been to the doc, but the swelling is massive. Tomorrow morning I have all my pre-op with the doc, hospital, dietician, and fitness person. AFTER all that, I see the orthopedic surgeon for my ankle. Has anyone had an injury that didn't allow them to walk, just before your surgery? I really hope they don't postpone me, but it looks like I'll be on crutches for another couple weeks.

You wouldn't think so,,you shouldn't be lifting or be to active just after surgery anyways.. but I guess you will find out tomorrow. Every doctor is different. Good luck.

You can do some exercise sitting in a chair, like arm curls and twisting at the waist and stuff. You can Google "chair exercise" and get a lot of suggestions. That should help you until you can walk again.
