Short Term Prednisone ? Weight Gain??

I am going to get banded on April 21st; however, the ENT put me on Prednisone for 10 days due to chronic sinus infection. Will I gain weight using the steroids for 10 days?

Thanks,

If you are Type II Diabetic, it will elevate your glucose readings. It can make you feel hungry even though you really aren't. Just watch what you eat, drink plenty of water. Just stick to your pre-op diet and you'll be fine.

I think it's all in a matter of how you let your mind control you. I was on prednisone once when I was on weight watchers. I was perinod about gaining weight. I think I worked harder mentally that week to make sure I did not gain weight and ended up having a good weight lost that week. Just stay focused and you should be fine.
