Bandster hell is the time between having surgery and actually having your band work for you. It is when you have little or no fill in your band to keep you from being hungry, and you are having to use will power to keep from eating anything that isn't nailed down. Some people never really experience it, but when you do, you will know it. I hope you NEVER experience it. Good luck!

    Okay, gotcha. That does sound hellish! I'm 2 weeks post-op today, so I'm hoping by the grace of God that I'll skip this phase! Thanks for the info!

    Good luck Dogmama. But be prepared for when the swelling goes down. I know doctors and patients are all different. My doc waits 8 weeks post op to do a fill. It truly was hell for me. It was really hard to get it through my head that the band wasn't doing anything because it had little to no fluid. Hopefully you won't have to deal with it, but if you do, hang in there. In the grand scheme of things,it is very short term.
