question about PCOS and band

Well finally, now I know why I have felt so strange about my body. I have PCOS. I have had these problems my whole life and thought I was just different. I have been reading everything I can, before I get my lapband. I was wondering what PCOS was so I started reading this group and OMG finally a label for what I have been trying to hide for years.

My question is has the lap band made a difference with your syptoms? And any advice you can give me about anything before I do get my band would be apperciated.

Yes! The band has made a difference in my symptoms! I now have normal/regular periods. I have not had my hormone levels checked or an ovarian ultrasound since before my surgery, but I FEEL so much better. The real test will be in a year or so when my husband and I try to get (and stay) pregnant. Good luck!
