April Exercise Challenge

Ok, here we go again. I'll start it up:

3 mile/27:30 min run this morning. I'll definately make it in tonight to get legs done. Add in a little more cardio as well.

Let's see if we can increase our new "faces" in here as well.

30 minute run at lunch and 30 minute swim tonight.

Goals for April:

Bike - 300 miles

Run - 80 miles

Swim - 20k meters

you are such a rock star kagoscuba!

i'm in - trudge through w/limited cardio at the moment. lots of weight & resistence w/trainer 3 days a wk. add Water aerobics here shortly.

ceradad - no surgery for foot; just tlc.

I swam. Got a mile in, but barely.

Goals for April: finish my first tri!

today - went to my trainers sports rehab place. had 20mins massage therapy on ankle, 40mins ab & upper body weight/resistance bands.

no cardio for 3wks.

I haven't done one of these in a very long time!! and let me tell you I'm in need of a challenge!

so here we go...

w/28 days left in April my goal is to do...

10 Stair miles

75 treadmill miles

30 bike miles

The stairs are what's going to get me! =)

Here I go!

Okay, I'm not going to lay out numbers like ya'll, but I want to do 30 minutes every day after work with my daughter. I want to rotate arms, legs and cardio.

We've gone every day this week and I promised her a manicure on Sat if we go for one week straight.

I think going after work is easier than getting up in the morning.

I decided it was time for a long run. I do the speed work every week with my Track workout, but the long run isn't always that long. I want to run 4 miles in the gym before my triathlon so I'll know I can do it when I'm actually doing it.

So I tried today but I didn't quite get there in the 47 min. I allotted myself. But I'll do it next week or die trying!

Good to hear.

As for me, no a.m. workout yesterday. Did upper body circuit training in the p.m. Followed that with 35 minutes on elliptical and 1.5 mile run on treadmill.

This morning, I did 2.5 mile/21:50 run on treadmill followed by 10 minute cooldown. Won't get legs tonight. Working 12 hrs today and then have to get DD from in laws. I'll try after work tomorrow.

yesterday - nothing

today - 45min session w/trainer; all upper body & ab workout, 20min physical therapy on ankle.

after lunch dh and i hit the driving range - few buckets of balls hit.

We did a bike-run transition but then we had to bike back to our cars so it was more like bike-run-bike!

90 min. bike

30 min run (though I got lost and only did 25 min)

30 min. bike

I am still the slowest on the bike but apparently I have the fastest transition time!

Yesterday, I went in the afternoon to the gym after work. Did leg circuit training and 2 mile run.

Working 16 today, so no workout. We'll see how I feel tomorrow morning.

Went for a bike ride with Mini-Mac.

No exercise this morning as I worked a double yesterday and only got about 3 hrs of sleep. Mainly due to our GSD deciding midnight would be an excellent time to start hacking up a lung in our bedroom last night.:smile2:

If I can keep the caffeine drip going today, I'll hit the gym after work to do upper body and a little cardio. If not, I will go home and sleep about 12 hrs.

I'm a few days late to the game, but here are my exercise goals for April:

- Work out every single day. If I don't decide on another gym to join soon (besides the one in my office building), I will do at least one mile of Walk Away The Pounds on the weekends or days that I don't make it to the office gym before it closes. If I miss a day, I will do a mile of WATP the next day, ALONG with the gym.

- Increase my gym cardio exercise from 20 minutes to 30 minutes. Currently, I do 15 minutes on the bike, 5 minutes on the elliptical. I would LIKE to increase them to 20 and 10, respectively, by the end of the month, but if I am not ready for a full 10 on the elliptical, at least up to 7 minutes, then 23 minutes on the bike. I'm not sure how ready my body will be for either increase by the end of the month, but I've been increasing the difficulty of my bike sessions at least.

- Add weight training to my routine, at least 2 or 3 times a week.

Good luck all!
