well i was told that the saline they put into the lapband evaporates over time and you have to go back and be topped back up every now and then

My surgeon says it's wise to have a small fill every 6-8 months once you reach goal. But I'm going to wait until I feel I need it before I go back.

I've been at goal for about 6 months and hadn't been in for a fill for about 5 months prior to that. So I've gone 11 months so far without a fill. Everybody's different.

Ooohhhhh....didn't know that.

I haven't needed any....so far. I'm about 2 years out and am still losing so I'm going for the opposite- an adjustment to remove some of the fluid.
