I have a surgery date!!!

I got a call from the surgeon's assitant with a surgery date. It is april 10th Good Friday. I am hoping this will be a good friday for me. I think our next step is it has to be submitted to the insurance for approval, Tricare requires a surgery date before approval. Then I guess I do the two week pre-opt stuff. Does anyone know what all I will have to do? I think I have to drink liquids for two weeks but I am not sure what procedures I will have to have. Please keep your fingers cross that the insurance will give me the green light! This has been a long year and a lot of test and hurdles for insurance to say NO!!!!:):)

You will have to talk with the clinic you will be using to get your pre-op diet. Each clinic and case is pretty much different. I have heard everything from 3 week diet to 72 hrs. Also, some people are on all liquids and some are allowed one or 2 small meals a day. Good luck on your journey.
