Hey! So I had my surgery Tuesday and came home with hardly ANY gas pains, thank GOD, because I heard they are the worst!! I walked alot that day and yesterday the pain finally hit me. Soreness. And last night I started to get some gas pains. I take my gas x strips, but they seem to do.. absolutely nothing. This morning I woke up, well, I dont think I ever really slept, and I woke up this morning think I was going to throw up, watery mouth, went to the restroom splashed water on my face and rubbed my phenergan on my wrists. I still am getting these bad gas pains and trying to make myself burp but they just wont come out!!!!

I have been drinking water, vitamin water, apple juice and thats about it, yesterday I tried a little broth and blended some soup up, but hardly ate either of those.

I'm trying so hard not to throw up b/c It's not good for the band!!!! support anyone?????!!!!

yeah the gas pain is the absolute worstt i know. gas x didnt help me at first, but i kept taking it hoping that eventually it would kick in.

if you have a heating pad, try that - i know it relieved some of the pain for me especially at night when i was laying down. if you dont have a heating pad, dampen a kitchen towel (or anything bigger than a washcloth really) and put it in the microwave to warm it up and use that.

walking around will help too, i just walked around my house every half hour and that got the gas moving around and started breaking it up.
