Are you tracking your calories? I think a healthy snack or two, if you are genuinely physically hungry, are certainly called for. I usually have a banana and a tbsp of Peanut Butter during the day. Another wonderful substitution for nuts I have found is Dry Roasted Edamame. A 1/4 cup serving has 130 calories, 4 g of fat and ....get this...14 grams of Protein and 8 grams of Fiber. You can't beat that with a stick! They really satisfy my salty, crunchy cravings. I find them in the organic/natural foods section at my local Kroger. You can read more about it at Seapoint Farms

No it's not bad. If you're genuinely hungry, it will keep you from over eating later. My doc recommended the handful of almonds as a good snack. He recommends I eat them before exercising too. If I don't I'm ravenous when I get home and that starts the trouble.....

I agree, just make sure your Snacks are healthy. I usually have 2 Snacks a day, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon(usually fruit, or protein). I also like to keep my matabolism going and feel snacking helps it to keep burning. I exercise a lot, so I'm hungry more often.

Your doing great on your weightloss!

I have apples, had one just yesterday. I also eat almonds as part of my snack at night, but not over 100 calories of nuts at a time. almonds are especially good for diets imo.

Im following a low gi diet, and both of those are on my diet. ..... of course since OP has lost more than I have, maybe she should be telling us!!! I do eat Snacks.

fruit is the one food that I have a little trouble with eating, kinda gets stuck, so I usually dont eat too much. Fresh pineapple seems to be the worst to chew up.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
