Has anyone used this Dr? I was thinking of Ortiz, but with all the violence on the boarder, I wanted to move away from boarder. Better yet, does anyone know someone in Central Florida that would do the surgery for under 10K? Found a few in the country but not in Florida, one in Denver, Detroit, TX. Would be grateful for any info...thanks, PB:smile:

I had my surgery done by Dr. Verboonen in Tijuana (I know he practices in Cancun as well) for $6,400, it went really well, I can only say good things from him, Dr. Ponce, their staff and facilities. Highly recommend them Good luck!!! : )

When did you have yours done? I see you went to TJ, it's very violent there now, did you go recently? Did you like the facilities? have you lost weight? I heard some negative things about him, but I don't want to go to TJ and would like to find a DR inland away from the boarder, Cancun seems to a good place, but that doesn't seem to be a good enough reason to choose a Dr. I'm getting a headache with all this.....thanks for the info PB

HI there...when I went there it was not bad at all (about 3 months ago) I was picked up in San Diego by a very nice American lady, the procedures are done at a fully equipped hospital, very nice, super clean. Tijuana did not seem anything like you would see in the news, the hospital is about 5 min. from the US/Mexico border. Both Dr. Verboonen and Dr. Ponce de Leon were great and sure I've been loosing weight gradually.
