FFFFFFFFFinally..........

Well I finally have a date. Actually not a firm date, but I am number one in June. My surgeon is booking for May 15, so I asked to wait 2 weeks and let me finish the school year (God knows I need the money). He does surgery on Mondays and Wednesdays so I am hoping to get June 1st.

The Monday works best as I only have 2 paid Sundays off at church.....so it will be like 3 weeks off (minus 1 day).

Now I am scared.:sneaky: I don't think I would be (as much), except my wife had a tumor removed laproscopically last week and she is still in a lot of pain and I decided to go with what the Dr. recommended and he said a Roux N Y (sp????).

So here we gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo:w00t:

Did you carefully choose the surgery? The issues with Roux - n- Y bypass are different...and honestly it is more invasive (because they reroute your intestines and cut away part of your stomach...) but there is less aftercare...

Don't mean to second guess you! Because the surgery is an elective, don't choose it just because the surgeon said so. Do some research and make sure it's what YOU want. You'll be the one living with it, not your doctor!

If you're sure, you've researched, and you're ready, then good luck! IF you feel hesitant (maybe I just mis "read" your post) then ... listen to your "gut" and look into both operations more deeply.
