I know that I just read it...someone had made a comment about this HUGE web-site, well you got that right...anyway on with the questions. Has anyone been banded in Austin TX by Dr. Patel??? I am self pay, is anyone else out there self pay...if so, how long from seminar to surgery? I am so ready to get this started!!!! And change my life FOREVER!!!

My doc said in the seminar...if you are self pay, you can be 'on the table in 3wks...' I was under the knife 6 wks later but by my choice.

I'm self pay also and was wondering the same stuff. Don'T they want you to have tests done and all that? Wouldn'T that take a lot of time considering other docs are doing all of those tests? I cant wait to get this done! My doc is so busy I made my appointment a month ago and he cant see me until late April !!!!!!!! Then if he wants me to see a sleep apnea doc and so on how long will there waiting lists be ? Just frustrated I guess

You can probably very easily get your tests done faster than you think. I had my mental eval and chest xray done on the same day. Different docs require different tests...I thought I needed a heart test (luckily I had one from the year previous) and I provided a copy to my doc and he said thanks...but I only require those if you are 50 or older.
