Is my Optifast bad?

I am starting the Optifast today. The first box of chocolate I opened and tried to pour into a glass -- it came out a clear liquid first followed by globs of brown stuff. I shook it up really good before pouring and the expiration on the box says 6/2006, so it should be good -- but it doesn't seem right.

I switched to a box of strawberry and it came out looking like I expected -- thin pink liquid.

Anyone know? (last time I did Optifast it came in powder packs that we blended ourselves, so I don't know about these juice-box quirks)

When I did optifast several years ago, the chocolate came out looking like chocolate milk, all one consistency. I would return it to the dr that you got it from and explain the problem.
