Submitting to Insurance

I just found out that my surgeons office submitted the request for surgery to my insurance today. I hope I get an answer back soon. How long did it take for the insurance to get back to you all? I am so excited and very anxious.

My surgeon sent my paper work into the insurance company on October 15, 2008 and I had approval on October 16 and on October 17 I was given a surgery date, which was 11/11/2008.

Thanks for you quick responses. I'm not sure how my insurance work. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

TQUAD64, I see from your signature that it say you lost cc's from some of your fills. Is that common?

Hi Jen -

BCBS received my paperwork on 1/26/09 and I received approval on 02/05. I called daily for a week to see if a decision had been made. I was too anxious and impatient to wait for the letter.
