I just got approved by insurance!!!! YEAH! It only took a year and a bunch of tests and red tape, but I did it. However, I did have to switch surgeons due to my insurance company. Has anyone used Dr Selim from Weight loss surgical center Or Kansas University? I have to use him and Kansas University for my surgery. I am a bit nervouse at changing doctors at the last minute, any help you can give would be appreciated.

I am also using WTLSC in KC. Similar to your story, my approval also took a year. I just got my pre-op appt with Dr. Ellison on 2/6/09. I think I may have to go to KU Med as well. Have you gone to your pre-op yet or have your surgery scheduled? Best of luck to you and hope others with experience with Dr. Selim will give their 2 cents....:tongue:
