pre op diet nausea

Ok, I started my preop diet yesterday and have been nauseous and light headed. Is it the protein laden drinks? The nutritionist has us drink slim fast type drink 30 minutes before breakfast. Breakfast is mushies ( oatmeal, milk, yogurt) Another slim fast prior to lunch and dinner of soup and applesauce and yogurt. Isopure at night. Help? Is it the protein? This is yuck!

I think it is the sudden change in diet. I felt the same way for the first few days (around four days I think).
